The aim of A.S.D. Club Ippico Euratom is to offer its members a complete equestrian programme, combining technical training with the opportunity to gain experience in competition settings. For this reason, the basic, intermediate and advanced riding courses are complemented by social competitions in Angera, organized directly within the riding centre’s facilities.  Club Ippico Euratom organizes social competitions focused mainly on show jumping and dressage, overseeing the running of the tests, the presence of judges and the proper preparation of horse and rider.



Particular attention is also paid to clothing and tack, which must be appropriate for the discipline being practised. This allows students to gradually become familiar not only with the technical aspects of competition, but also with the rules and procedures that characterise an equestrian competition.

Mock competition

In-house show-jumping competitions

Social show-jumping competitions are organised to simulate the dynamics of an outdoor competition. This allows students to face a structured situation and learn how to manage the various stages of competition before taking part in national or interregional shows.


The activity takes place across two main areas:

  • warm-up arena;
  • arena.


Social competitions in Angera are also divided into different categories, based on the rider’s licence and technical level.

Beginner students include those who hold a Patente A Ludica licence and generally compete in classes ranging from B60 to B80.


For these riders, the in-house competition provides a first introduction to the dynamics of competition. The aim is to learn how to manage the course and apply, in a competition setting, the skills developed during lessons.

Advanced riders are those who hold a riding certificate and compete in classes approximately between B90 and B115.


At this level, greater precision in riding the horse and a more aware management of the different stages of the course are required. Club competitions help consolidate training and build experience before moving on to higher-level events.

Students holding a 1st-degree licence, from the B115 to C135 classes, or a 2nd-degree licence, from C135 through to Grand Prix level, are considered experienced.


For these riders, the test involves more advanced technical features and requires preparation appropriate to the level reached. In this case too, the social competition provides an opportunity to assess the work carried out during training.

Precision and control

Dressage social competitions

In addition to show jumping competitions, Club Ippico Euratom also organizes social dressage competitions. During these tests, horse and rider must perform a sequence of set movements, following the required track and the instructions for the test. The aspects assessed include the accuracy of the movements, balance, rhythm, relaxation and cooperation between horse and rider.


The student also learns to manage the preparation before the test, entering the arena and performing the test while maintaining concentration and precision.

Sporting development

A pathway to competition

Club competitions help bridge the gap between the work done during lessons and subsequent participation in external competitions. Taking part in a mock competition allows riders to become familiar in advance with some of the situations found at national and interregional competitions, such as using the warm-up arena, waiting before entering the competition arena and managing their own round.

Club Ippico Euratom uses these events as part of the students’ training pathway, adapting classes and difficulty to the level they have reached.
