S.S.D. A.R.L. Club Ippico Euratom offers courses for adults and children who want to discover the world of horse riding or improve their skills. The riding instructors in Angera support students throughout their learning journey, adapting activities to their level of preparation and individual goals. From the first exercises to build confidence and familiarity with the horse through to refining equestrian technique, the courses are designed for beginners, intermediate riders and more experienced horsemen and women. The instructors’ training and experience, gained at both national and international level, enable the riding school to offer a structured programme for anyone wishing to progressively develop their technical skills, independence and awareness in handling the horse.
Mario Georges Verheyden, equestrian experience and training
An internationally renowned rider, Mario Georges Verheyden is a Level 3 riding instructor and national trainer. His experience in the equestrian sector informs his teaching, which is aimed at both children and adults. With the same passion, he supports riders of all levels, from beginners to those with advanced training. At Club Ippico Euratom, he shares his expertise with students, contributing to the development of their riding technique and to a progressive training journey suited to their level of preparation. Since 2025, he has also served as a U25 selector and technical coach for the Italian second-division team for the Federazione Italiana Sport Equestri (FISE), combining his work as an instructor with a significant technical role in the national equestrian scene.
RITA LEO VERHEYDEN
A journalist and sports communications professional, Rita Leo Verheyden is editor-in-chief of the online magazine Horseshowjumping.tv and a sports commentator for Eurosport. Alongside her knowledge of the equestrian world, she has considerable teaching experience, also gained in sailing, a discipline she taught for many years. Her professional background in sport and public communication contributes to the expertise available at Club Ippico Euratom and to its understanding of the different disciplines within equestrian sport.
Matteo Sangermano
Matteo Sangermano is a Level 1 Federal Instructor and has worked with Club Ippico Euratom for many years. During this time, he has further developed his training under the guidance of Mario Georges Verheyden, consolidating expertise in teaching and equestrian technique. Empathy and the ability to establish a dialogue with students define his approach: he works with both beginners taking their first steps in riding and more advanced riders, building a relationship of trust that helps them follow their training pathway and practise this sport with greater awareness.
