DRESSAGE



The A.S.D. Club Ippico Euratom, an equestrian centre in Angera, participates in external dressage competitions to assess its students' preparation for this Olympic discipline.

WHAT IS DRESSAGE?

Dressage is an equestrian discipline in which the rider and horse are required to execute predetermined figures with the utmost precision. One or more judges will be present to assess the correctness of the execution of each figure.

REQUIRED HORSE CLOTHING AND HARNESS

Although it is a competition organised within the club, students are required to wear the appropriate dressage outfit. This includes the following clothing:

  • jacket (black or dark);
  • white trousers;
  • white shirt, collared shirt;
  • plastron or tie;
  • cap;
  • white gloves or the same colour as the jacket;
  • spurs (optional for ponies);
  • black boots.

The riding crop cannot be used.

  • Horse's harness

    Specific harnesses are also required for the horse to wear during dressage competitions.


    These are:

    • English saddle;
    • white under saddle;
    • fillet or bridle (the combination of fillet and bit);
    • white bands;
    • white cap (subject to judge's approval).

    The horse must be perfectly groomed.
