LEVEL 1 - BEGINNER

The basic level riding courses are structured both for those who are approaching horses for the first time and for those who, due to personal commitments, have been forced to interrupt a passion they have never forgotten.

  • STEP 1: APPROACHING THE HORSE

By attending the basic courses it will be possible to begin to establish the horse-rider bond.

Aims: to develop trust in the horse so that the rider approaches him spontaneously and naturally.

Methods: cleaning and caring for the horse, leading the horse from the ground (by hand).

  • STEP 2: EMPATHY

During the process of approaching the horse, the pupil learns to approach the animal according to classical ethological rules, assisted by qualified personnel from entering the box, to the moment the horse is put in the saddle. A good knowledge of the canons of safety is also essential to approach the animal correctly, to achieve a condition of autonomy in the preparation and management of the horse. By gaining confidence, the pupil will then also be able to transmit confidence to his companion and reinforce a bond based on empathy and respect.

Objectives: to approach work in the saddle with naturalness and motivation, following safety rules.

Methods: the horse is handled and held at the rope by the instructor on the ground until the first two gaits (stride and trot) are correctly learned.

  • STEP 3: TRUST

The rider eventually acquires confidence and awareness and is ready to manage the horse independently.

Aims: to improve the rider's technical and relational aspects, gradually leading to autonomy in managing the horse in the saddle and on the ground.

Methods: the horse is no longer managed by the instructor on the ground. The rider, individually or as part of a group of students, consolidates his or her balance in the saddle and acquires the ability to perform handling figures at a walk, trot and gallop.

LEVEL 2 - INTERMEDIATE

The intermediate level riding courses are dedicated to all those who complete the basic level with a FISE A recreational licence and wish to both deepen their relationship with the horse and refine their riding technique.

At this stage, the instructor will devote himself and his junior and senior students to preparing for a possible passage to the FISE B Brevetto type licence.

Aims: to deepen the rider's technical ability to improve his or her trim. Management of the three gaits and precision in leading the horse.

Methods: the rider individually or as part of a group of learners perfects the execution of the three gaits as well as tackling the first courses.

LEVEL 3 - ADVANCED

Lastly, the advanced level riding courses are dedicated to students who have a FISE I and II grade licence and wish to improve technically.

Aims: acquire the notions necessary to achieve complete autonomy in handling the horse to participate in national and international competitions dedicated to emerging students.

Methods: the rider refines the sequence of aids to ensure that his horse is responsive and ready to handle the adversities that a show jumping course can present.
